A pretty and varied country stroll less than 20 minutes’ train ride from the bustle of Plymouth. This walk is virtually all on quiet country lanes, meaning very little mud!
From Bere Ferrers station, the walk descends to Weir Quay besides the Tamar, with pleasant views across the river to Cornwall. After ascending to the outskirts of Bere Alston, the walk returns to Bere Ferrers past farmers’ fields and the wooded valley below, and offering fine views of the Tavy as you descend into Bere Ferrers.
