To give clear guidance to people going on our walks, we like to provide directions and photos. Photos also help give people an idea of whether the walk is to their liking, and what they will be seeing along the way. We will now ask you to give directions for the different stages of the walk and upload a photo for each step. Please be as clear as you can with directions and landmarks, and showcase the highlights of the walk with your pictures. We would ask that you describe and provide photos for at least four steps and a maximum of twelve for your walk. There are limits on the upload sizes, click this text area for dropdown guidance on this.
Due to bandwidth limitations, we have a limit of 7MB per photo (more than enough for the great majority of photos taken with mobile phones or digital cameras), and an overall limit of 50MB total upload across all photos being submitted. Please be aware that due to encoding for delivery to us, some files may “inflate” on upload, meaning that, for example, 10 photos that are 5MB on your hard drive may not fit into the upload limit, as odd as that may sound! If you have larger photos than you are able to upload here, please use the general enquiry form above and we can make arrangements to receive your photos a different way.
